Fruit with Animal Skin

Today, I saw a fruit that I have never seen before in my life. As I was walking past the stall, it caught my attention as its skin is somewhat similar to that of an animal. I was very fascinated with it and so I bought some back.

The flesh inside is a bit light yellowish. It does not have a strong taste, just some light fruity taste. My friend said that it tastes like "Sugus" sweets but sour. But to me, it does not taste even a bit sour.

The stall owner had a sign there saying that this is "buah salad". Direct translation would mean that it is salad fruit. But I think a more suitable name would be pangolin fruit.
