Keukenhof Garden

On our last day in Amsterdam, we checked out early at 8:30am to make our way to Schipol Airport and caught a bus from there to go to Lisse, about 30 minutes away.  Our destination is the Keukenhof Garden, the largest garden in the world.  This garden only opens on the last week of March until mid-May every year.

We had earlier on bought our all-in-one return bus ticket and garden entrance ticket at Schipol Airport.  So, we could immediately enter when we reached there.

I am not going to write much in this entry.  Just enjoy the photos of the flowers in the garden.

This whole field of tulips is such an awesome sight.  It is at time like this one that I truly regret not having a DSLR camera to capture this priceless moment.  Words cannot describe how magnificent the view is at this field.

There is also a windmill at the garden.

The queue to go up the windmill was so long, so I could not be bothered to wait in line.

835

There is also a children’s zoo here, where children can roam about in an enclosed space to pat harmless animals.  Here is a llama.

836

Some piglets.

837

Mother goat and its kid.

838

Rooster.

839

A pony and a calf, I think.

840

A turkey.

Our excursion of the garden ended after that and we caught the bus back to the airport.  Truly a wonderful trip.  Looking forward to travel more soon.
